Ashes Cricket 2009video game is developed on the basis of the famous Ashes Series between Australia and England cricket teams. This game is developed by Transmission Games and published by Codemasters and Atari in UK and Australia respectively.
Ashes Cricket 2009 is quite different from other cricket games as it is focused only on the Ashes Series. The game is a little bit difficult for beginners, but you can get experience by playing it again and again. The graphics of this game are near to real but only for some players such as Rickey Ponting, Kevin Pietersen, Alastair Cook and Paul Collingwood.
At the start of the game, you have to select your team e.g. Australia or England. The game controllers are difficult but I will tell you about the controller briefly. When the match starts, the one of two captains has to select head or tail in toss. Winning captain has to select bat or field first. If you are playing at the batting end then there are the keys from keyboards which you have to keep in mind. From arrows keys, left arrow key is used to defend the bowl or we can say to defend for wicket. As for the down arrow key, it is used for attacking shot. Right arrow key is used for lofted shot.
You can use A,W,S and D key for shot in specific direction. Left Ctrl and Shift keys are used for front foot and back foot shot. If you want to play auto shot then you can leave these keys. For a long shot e.g. to hit a Six, you have to use Spacebar. To make a single run, you have to use up arrow key once and right arrow key to run back without a single. If you are in the way and it seems difficult to make the single then you can use down arrow key to dive or slide.

For bowling, you have to use arrow keys. For example, if you want to make the ball in swing, the press left arrow key and when the bowler reaches near the Umpire, press the left arrow key again to escape the ball from “No Ball”. A and D keys are used to change the fielding.
Ashes Cricket 2009 Demo version allows you to play only 3 overs game. You can do practice again and again and if you enjoy the full series, you can purchase the game from publisher. (Review by pcfavour)
